Lori A. Franson - Account Manager - Has over 9 years experience in the insurance industry and has been specializing in Employee Benefits since 2002. She has worked on both the insurance company and broker side and enjoys working with clients. She has been married to a very supportive husband since 1994 and has two dogs. Lori and her husband have lived in Michigan, Ohio, Florida & Texas and returned to the Chicago area to be near family. She is an avid reader and enjoys traveling and gourmet cooking.

Gil Haggart - CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), LUTCF (Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow) is a graduate of Northwestern University and has been in the insurance business for 40 years. Gil is married and has three children and four grandchildren. He has been active in many local organizations including the Boy Scouts and the Park District. Gil is proud to be a Qualifying and Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table and Past President of the Chicago Association of Life Underwriters and the Illinois Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

Jennifer Livingston - Account Manager - has over 14 years insurance experience. She has worked on both the insurance company and broker sides. Jennifer enjoys the customer service work she does for Meeker-Magner clients. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, camping and tennis.

Rusty Magner - RHU – Executive Vice President, Employee Benefits and Group Wellness Specialist. A fourth generation member of the Meeker-Magner team, Rusty works with mid-sized business to help his clients attract and retain top employees through comprehensive employee benefit plans. For the past several years he has helped employees at client companies have life changing experiences through wellness programs. He has expertise in health, dental, disability, life, FSA, HRA, HSA, consumer-driven healthcare, retirement and deferred compensation plans. In addition to his insurance licenses, he holds Series 6 & 63 securities licenses. Rusty graduated from Fairfield University, with a degree in Business Management. He is Past President of the Chicago Board of Underwriters. He enjoys his wife and children, golf and networking. Most of all he enjoys helping others.

Patrick Nugent - Employee Benefits & Corporate Wellness Specialist. Patrick began his career with Meeker-Magner in 2003, he left in 2005 to pursue an opportunity with Destiny Health and has rejoined Meeker-Magner as of March 2007. In his role as a Product Specialist at Destiny he worked with both employers and consultants in Chicago and Washington, D.C. to develop and implement state of the art Consumer Driven Health Plans as well as work to drive engagement and participation in wellness programs. This experience makes Patrick a great resource to his clients as so many are focused on how to change their employees behaviors and habits to make them more healthy and more productive. Patrick not only promotes health and wellness, he lives it. He is currently training for the Chicago Half Marathon and LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon with a goal of completing his first ultramarathon (50 miles) in 2008. When he is not running on the lakefront in Chicago, he is enjoying a game of fetch with his Weimaraner "Lance", rooting on the Cubs at Wrigley or taking an absurd amount of strokes on a golf course. Patrick is also a philanthropist at heart dedicating time to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and 20/30 Club of Chicago.

Jeff Petro - Vice President and Employee Benefits Specialist has been with Meeker-Magner since 1991 and working in the Employee Benefits Industry since 1987. He continually exceeds the expectations of his employer group clients through comprehensive and proactive service. No detail is too small for Jeff. He was awarded employee of the year at Meeker Magner, and in 1999 he was awarded the title of Assistant Vice President. Jeff was appointed Vice President in 2002 and has won the Meeker-Magner Annual Sales and Retention Award several times. He has a wonderfully supportive wife, whom he married in 1983, two super children and one dog! He enjoys hunting, hiking, golf, movies, and exploring the internet.

Christopher Thurman - Marketing Specialist - Kit is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and is new to the insurance field. Previously, Kit worked for an archaeological firm. In his free time, he enjoys films, participating in archaeological excavations, and reading.
