:: Why Meeker-Magner for your Employee Benefits?

Plan Transition & Implementation- If a client decides that it is in their best interest to work with a new carrier, it is imperative that commitments made during the proposal process be kept during the transition period. We intend to participate in implementation meetings with the client and the selected carriers/vendors. Whether the marketing results change or not, we will draft a comprehensive “Confirmation of Proposal" document. This document will outline the proposal and all subsequent commitments made by the carriers/vendors as understood by Meeker-Magner and the client. The carriers/vendors will be required to sign off on this “Confirmation of Proposal.” This becomes the basis of the contract which is the final guiding document.
Program Renewal Analysis- We (not you) initiate and direct renewal negotiations with each supplier/insurer. Our high level of renewal activity makes us keenly aware of industry trends and also allows us to rely on previously negotiated agreements. Our experience and aggressive renewal negotiations continuously yield savings to our clients. Upon completion of the renewal negotiations, we provide a thorough renewal analysis report which focuses on the financial impact of the renewal to the corporation, anticipated program cost pricing, contribution strategies, specific recommendations for contract renewal, and appropriate alternatives.
Contract/Document Analysis- We work with clients and the various plan administrators to determine inadequate or missing documentation of all programs in place. Meeker-Magner coordinates and reviews all group contracts, plan documents, certificates and booklets for benefit accuracy.
Employee Communication Review- To assure that employees understand the details and value of the plans being offered, we recommend utilizing unique communication materials throughout the year. With the advancements in technology, clients are provided a wide range of communication choices. Meeker-Magner assists each client in making critical decisions regarding all employee benefit communications. This includes assistance in developing a communication strategy, selecting a communications/outsourcing vendor, reviewing the technical accuracy of the test/design, and overseeing the implementation of the communication plan.
